Our land originally belonged to a local family who protected this area for generations. Today, the lodge exists on that same land—surrounded by waterfalls, native forest, and tropical plantations banana and sugar cane plantations, and serves as a refuge for wildlife such as armadillos, parrots, guatusas and other species that live in the area. We do not remove the forest. We restore and preserve it.
