Safari Lodge began with a simple idea: to create a place where nature isn’t an attraction—
but the main character.
Our story starts in the mountains of Bucay, in the Cloud Forest of La Esperanza. This land was once a family property, a small piece of forest surrounded by waterfalls, banana and sugar cane plantations, and untouched wilderness. It has been preserved for generations by people who know this land intimately.
In 2020, that piece of forest became Safari Lodge—designed not to change the landscape, but to protect it, restore it, and share it with travelers from around the world.
Safari Lodge is the result of transforming an old cabin into a retreat for modern explorers. It was rebuilt using local materials and native wood, respecting the original structure and the essence of the forest. Every detail was designed to allow guests to feel immersed in nature—without leaving comfort behind.
Here, every window faces the mountains. Every breath smells of forest.
Every sound comes from water and wildlife.
We are located in one of Ecuador’s most unique ecosystems: the Cloud Forest.
